WELCOME TO THE GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS SECTION
The Santa Fe Association of REALTORS® encourages members and the public to be actively engaged in local government by working to protect private property rights. SFAR has adopted Quality of Life Principles to guide its public policy actions. Whether you are a Realtor member, Affiliate member, local homeowner, part-time resident, or member of the public, we hope you will use the information provided to take action on local issues.
RANM/NAR Links provides legislative information for the REALTORS® Association of New Mexico (RANM) and National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) which includes information on RANM’s State Political Coordinator Program and Federal Issues Information Center.

City and County Links
include information on both the City and County of Santa Fe. You will find information on Elected Officials, Upcoming Elections, Public Meeting schedules, and important Water and Fire information.
The Government Affairs Committee works to keep you abreast of the many issues that affect our private property rights.
The Local Regulations section provides both city and county information regarding annual reports, business licenses, floodplain ordinances, landscape ordinances, short-term rental ordinances, sign ordinances, view protection ordinances, water conservation, and zoning laws.
You will find various links to our State & Federal representatives, governmental programs, regulations, and other important issues that can affect the real estate industry.
How to Register to Vote
Do you need to register or help your client who has moved? Individuals can register to vote at the Santa Fe County Courthouse located at 102 Grant Avenue or you can contact the County Clerk’s office at 986-6280 and they will mail a registration form to you. Or stop by the Santa Fe Association of REALTORS® office to register to vote. More information on Registering to Vote |
